Shares of companies in the optical communications sector rose generally, with optical module and device supplier Lumentum up over 10.5%, Coherent up over 14%, Applied Optoelectronics up over 20%, and Fabrinet's increase expanding to about 16%. Optical chip supplier Broadcom rose over 5.2%, while Marvel Technology and Marvell Electronics rose about 13%, and MACOM Technology briefly increased over 6%, with Credo Technology Group rising over 7% again. Network equipment and systems supplier Cisco's increase expanded to 4%, and Ciena's rise expanded to 6.4%. Fiber cable and infrastructure connection supplier Corning's increase expanded to 6.7%.
