According to a report by Bloomberg, Iran is considering allowing European countries to carry out mine clearance operations in the Strait of Hormuz, a concession that could become part of an agreement to normalize shipping in the waterway and help advance peace negotiations with the United States. Iran has previously stated on multiple occasions that it would not allow foreign involvement in mine clearance at this critical oil and gas hub. However, diplomats familiar with the situation have revealed that Tehran's stance has softened in private meetings over the past few weeks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has not yet responded.
