According to QuestMobile, as of June 2026, the total number of monthly active users across the internet reached 1.282 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%; meanwhile, user engagement continues to grow, with the average monthly usage time and frequency per user reaching 189.3 hours and 2,691 times, representing year-on-year increases of 7.4% and 3.1%, respectively. Among these users, those aged 45 and above account for 39.5%, while users from third-tier and fourth-tier cities make up 41.5%, with year-on-year increases of 2.4% and 0.7%, respectively, marking a key factor in the structural changes of the user base. In June 2026, Tencent Holdings, Alibaba, and Douyin Group had deduplicated traffic of 1.281 billion, 1.265 billion, and 1.259 billion, respectively, maintaining their positions at the top tier; Baidu Group, JD, Ant Group, Pinduoduo, and Meituan had deduplicated traffic of 1.101 billion, 1.066 billion, 0.955 billion, 0.892 billion, and 0.851 billion, respectively, forming the second tier.
