In July, the number of second-hand residential housing online contracts in Guangzhou decreased slightly by 0.94% month-on-month.
On August 4th, the Guangzhou Real Estate Agency Association released the online signing data for second-hand residential properties in the city for July. Due to extreme weather making it more difficult for consumers to view properties, the number of online signed units and area for second-hand residential properties in Guangzhou in July 2026 decreased slightly by 0.94% and 3.42% month-on-month, respectively, totaling 8,658 units and 858,500 square meters. Year-on-year, these figures fell by 7.10% and 7.23%, respectively. From January to July 2026, a total of 62,016 second-hand residential units and 6,207,200 square meters were signed online in Guangzhou. Looking at the month-on-month change in signed units by district, there was growth in all central urban areas except for Baiyun; most peripheral areas showed a general decline except for Huadu, with the largest drop occurring in Zengcheng, exceeding ten percent.
