Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Market Supervision Administration released a report on quality supervision and spot checks of 31 products, including household paper products. Among them, 11 batches of tissues were found to be unqualified, with one batch of Qingfeng brand toilet paper detected to have an inadequate tensile strength index. On August 4, customer service from the official Qingfeng flagship store stated that after a comprehensive investigation, it was confirmed that the involved batch of toilet paper had deviations in the refining process parameters during production and debugging. In the pursuit of optimizing the process for a softer paper feel, fluctuations in the vertical tensile strength index occurred, exceeding national standard requirements. This issue was attributed to a single batch process management oversight, with no problems found in the raw materials themselves, and no widespread anomalies in other products. The customer service representative indicated that the involved batch of products has been removed from all sales channels and sealed, and a complete explanation with a rectification plan has been submitted to the regulatory authorities. Additionally, consumers who purchased products from the involved batch can arrange for a free return or exchange by presenting their purchase receipts, with all related costs borne by the company.
