Cybersecurity startup Horizon3.ai raises $250 million.
Horizon3.ai, headquartered in San Francisco and providing ethical hacking hiring services, raised $250 million in a later funding round. The power of cyberattacks has significantly increased with the advent of cutting-edge AI models like Anthropic's Mythos, sparking waves of concern in the business community, and the company hopes to leverage this momentum for growth. This Series E funding, scheduled to be announced on Monday, raised the market valuation of the seven-year-old startup from approximately $650 million a year ago to over $2 billion. The round was co-led by NightDragon and NEA, both of which participated in earlier funding rounds, along with more than a dozen new and existing investors. Horizon3 co-founder and CEO Snehal Antani stated that the latest infusion of capital will drive the company's continued expansion into global markets. In June of this year, the company established its European headquarters in Amsterdam. He also noted that the company plans to increase spending on sales, marketing, and research and development.
