Orders Doubled, Performance Strengthened, Shipbuilding Industry Maintains High Prosperity
On August 3, the Ministry of Natural Resources released national marine economy statistics, indicating that in the first half of this year, China experienced a comprehensive increase in the volume of newly contracted orders, completed orders, and orders on hand for its ocean-going vessels, while maintaining a leading share in the international market, with new order volume growing by 105.2% year-on-year. The shipbuilding industry continues to thrive, with all three major indicators of shipbuilding in China rising in the first half of the year, keeping the country's international market share at the forefront globally. The semi-annual performance forecasts of publicly listed companies also confirm this trend, as many shipbuilding firms have reported significant increases in their performance for the first half of the year, with new orders steadily climbing.
