On August 3, the Wuxi High-tech Zone Market Supervision Administration and the Wuxi High-tech Zone Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau issued a situation report, with the full text as follows: On the morning of August 3, our district noticed media reports regarding the suspected antibiotic exceedance in bullfrog products in multiple regions across the country, which mentioned our districts Ruisheng Food Company. In response, our district attached great importance to this issue and immediately established an investigation team that rushed to the involved enterprise for a comprehensive on-site verification. Upon investigation, it was found that the enterprise is engaged in the sale of aquatic products and edible agricultural products, and no inventory of bullfrogs or bullfrog products was discovered on-site. The investigation team promptly initiated a traceability check on the upstream suppliers and conducted inspections, as well as rapid testing and sampling of the fresh bullfrog inventory from the upstream suppliers, all of which returned negative results. Related situations are currently under further investigation, and the team will handle this matter strictly in accordance with the sampling test results and relevant laws and regulations. At the same time, in accordance with higher-level special directives, a continuous and in-depth special investigation is being conducted throughout the district to severely crack down on illegal activities related to bullfrog products and resolutely safeguard the legal rights and interests of consumers.
