The largest flood peak since the onset of the flood season has occurred in the Jialing River section of Nanchong, Sichuan.
Due to upstream rainfall and the regulation of the Tingzikou Reservoir, on August 3, the water level of the Jialing River in the Sichuan Nanchong section rose sharply. The largest flood peak since the onset of the flood season this year passed through the main urban area that morning. The flood peak water level reached a maximum of 265.86 meters, about 4 meters higher than normal, with a flow rate of 8,450 cubic meters per second. Various areas along the river in the High-Ping District of Nanchong City quickly took action to implement preventive measures, striving to ensure the safe passage of the flood peak.
