According to news from India, the major pharmaceutical company Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has recalled 10 eye drops due to product contamination issues. It is understood that in a letter sent to distributors on July 17, Sun Pharmaceutical stated that a "preventive" recall was initiated for these 10 eye drops due to contamination problems. The eye drops involved are related to multiple brands and are used to treat eye inflammation, glaucoma, and post-operative eye discomfort, among other conditions. In the letter, Sun Pharmaceutical requested distributors to immediately stop selling the related products, report their existing inventory, and quickly return any products they hold or have obtained from other sources. The news did not provide detailed information about the contamination issues with the eye drops, but it quoted some experts stating that maintaining sterility during drug production is crucial, and contaminated or unsafe eye drops could lead to eye infections and vision impairment.
