A recent earthquake in southern Italy has left 10 people injured.

On the evening of July 31, local time, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the Campi Flegrei volcanic area near Naples in southern Italy, marking the strongest earthquake in 40 years. According to monitoring by the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the quake occurred at 7:46 PM and was felt strongly in Naples. At 10 PM that evening, a magnitude 3.8 aftershock hit the same area. Local media reports indicate that the earthquake has resulted in 10 injuries. As a result of the quake, power outages and building damage were reported in multiple locations.
