Cathay Pacific will increase passenger fuel surcharges starting from August 1st.

On July 24, Cathay Pacific Airways announced that, due to the recent increase in aviation fuel prices, they will adjust the passenger fuel surcharge starting from August 1, 2026. Cathay Pacific Airways stated that since May, the fuel surcharge has been adjusted downwards several times as aviation fuel prices have fallen, indicating that the current mechanism can effectively reflect the fluctuations in aviation fuel prices. The company will continue to review the fuel surcharge every two weeks.
