In Pudong, Shanghai, there is a planned area of about 2 square kilometers of land, home to nearly 600 artificial intelligence vertical application enterprises and over 30,000 AI practitioners - Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town. After 10 months of operation, the town has released the latest ecological blueprint and development coordinates: by 2027, it aims to gather over 800 AI enterprises, with an industrial scale of 65 billion yuan, and 30 demonstration application scenarios implemented; by 2030, to have over 1,000 AI enterprises, with an industrial scale exceeding 100 billion yuan. A recent investigation by a journalist from Securities Times found that Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town is reshaping the path of transforming the AI industry from the laboratory to the market through mechanisms such as platform empowerment, ecological convergence, and scene implementation.
