The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs organized a survey of fishing resources in the waters east of Taiwan Island in China.

In order to comprehensively understand the status of fishery resources in our country's jurisdictional waters, support the conservation and sustainable development of marine fishery resources, from July 17th to 23rd, the "Blue Sea 201" scientific survey ship of the East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences conducted a fishery resources survey in the waters east of Taiwan Island. This area has rich fishery resources and is an important spawning ground for major economic species such as tuna. This survey used multi-disciplinary survey methods to collect samples of fish, cephalopods, crustaceans, and environmental DNA samples, obtained basic data on fishery acoustics, hydrology, and meteorology, laying the foundation for our country to systematically understand the status of fishery resources in this area and providing a scientific basis for conducting fishery resource conservation and management, and promoting the sustainable development of marine fisheries in this area.
