In early Asian trading, copper prices are rising. The three-month copper futures contract on the London Metal Exchange rose by 0.2% to $13,831.00 per ton. Analysts at ANZ Bank stated in a commentary that signs of tight supply are providing support. They pointed out that the premium of Chinese copper over local supply has increased to $100 per ton, up from $20 per ton at the end of January. They also mentioned that strong storms in Chile have heightened concerns about supply disruptions, which could lead to disruptions in copper production.
