Amazon lays off employees in its AGI department.

On July 22nd local time, an Amazon spokesperson stated that the company had conducted layoffs in its general artificial intelligence department that day. "We are further focusing on initiatives that are most important to our customers so that we can accelerate our priorities faster. This focus means that we have had to make some difficult decisions, including reducing some positions in our general artificial intelligence department."
