According to a new principle-based proposal put forward by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, the regulatory guidance on Australian sell-side research will be reduced from 42 pages to 8 pages to promote more investments in the local market. The Australian Securities and Investment Commission is seeking feedback on the proposed changes, with the deadline for feedback being August 21st.
