Gold prices rose by more than 1%, returning above $4100, while copper in New York fell by 1%.
On Wednesday, the closing price of spot gold in New York rose by 1.31% to $4130.07 per ounce, remaining in an upward trend throughout the day. Accelerated increases occurred at 08:00 and 20:57 Beijing time, with a new daily high of $4166.05 reached at 23:52. COMEX gold futures rose by 1.46% to $4135.90 per ounce. Spot silver rose by 1.55% to $59.7171 per ounce, reaching a daily high of $60.9270 at 22:04. COMEX silver futures rose by 1.35% to $59.990 per ounce. COMEX copper futures fell by 1.00% to $6.4870 per pound, continuing a downward trend. Spot platinum rose by 0.90% and spot palladium rose by 1.05%.
