Zhongtong Financial APP learned that SK Hynix (SKHY.US), the South Korean storage chip giant, officially denied on Wednesday the market rumors that it was in talks to acquire Intel's (INTC.US) semiconductor facilities in the New Albany Semiconductor Plant in Ohio. The company clarified through formal regulatory documents submitted to the Korea Exchange (DART) that, although it has been evaluating global investment opportunities, it has "neither sought nor decided to acquire Intel's factories and wafer plants in Ohio." After the release of this denial statement, the stock price of SK Hynix in the Seoul stock market sharply narrowed its gains.
