The types of goods transported by the China-Laos Railway have expanded to more than 3,900 varieties.

On June 22, Kunming Customs released statistics showing that as of June 30, 2026, the types of goods transported by the China-Laos Railway have expanded from over 10 in the early stages of operation to more than 3900, including new energy vehicles, tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, Chinese medicinal materials, and others. The railway now serves 19 countries and regions, benefiting over 7000 foreign trade entities in China. The data shows that in the first half of 2026, the import and export value of goods transported via the China-Laos Railway reached 17.17 billion yuan, a 33.8% increase compared to the previous year. Among them, the export value of the "new three categories" composed of new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic products reached 2.14 billion yuan, a 348.5% increase, becoming a new highlight in cross-border trade growth.
