European stock markets opened lower with the momentum of technology stocks easing. The European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.3%. The UK's FTSE 100 index dropped by 0.1% with consumer stocks performing weakly. The French CAC 40 index also fell by 0.1% with luxury companies leading the decline, including LVMH Group which dropped by 1.1%. Airbus' stock price rose by 5.1%, boosting the entire sector as the company forecasted an increase in profits which also supported the German DAX index, causing it to fall slightly by 0.1%. AI-related stocks dragged down the Dutch AEX index by 0.8%, with ASML's stock price falling by 2.25%. After Santander bank released its financial report, its stock price fell by 0.4%, narrowing the early losses but still dragging down Spain's IBEX 35 index by 0.3%. Italy's FTSE MIB index also fell by 0.2%.
