Shareholder group files complaint against Samsung and SK Hynix

A small and medium-sized shareholder group has filed a complaint with South Korean Minister of Labor Kim Young-hun and the CEOs of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix regarding the salary agreement. The agreement ties employee bonuses to operating profits. The Korean Shareholder Movement Headquarters has reported Kim Young-hun to the Anti-Corruption Investigation Office, accusing him of abuse of power, obstruction of rights, and coercion. The group has also filed a complaint with the police, accusing Samsung Electronics CEO Kwun Oh-hyun, Lee Tai-wen, and SK Hynix CEO Kwon Oh-jung of breach of trust. The shareholder group argues that performance bonuses should not be included in collective bargaining, and believes that designating a fixed portion of operating profits for bonuses without shareholder approval is illegal.
