Hauke Siemssen, interest rate strategist at Deutsche Bank, stated in a report that he expects the slowing UK inflation data to set the tone for the bond market this morning, while oil prices continue to dominate. He mentioned that ongoing military actions between the US and Iran, as well as threats to Red Sea shipping by Houthi armed forces, have pushed Brent crude oil prices back up to $92 per barrel, leading to a bearish trend in the market. However, he also noted that "if this morning's UK inflation data shows a decrease, it may bring a more moderate market tone."
