Mitsubishi Electric and Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation will form a joint venture AI vision company.

On July 22, Mitsubishi Electric and Sony Semiconductor Solutions announced that they have signed a final agreement to jointly establish a joint venture named Advanced Vision Solutions, aiming to provide AI visual sensor solutions for manufacturing automation. The enterprise is planned to start operating in October 2026, pending regulatory approval. Mitsubishi Electric will hold a 60% stake, while Sony Semiconductor Solutions will hold a 40% stake.
