South Korea expands the staffing of nuclear power professionals to support nuclear power exports and semiconductor cluster construction.

The South Korean government has introduced a surprising measure to expand the scale of personnel in state-owned nuclear power plants, in order to prepare for two major projects: one is to pursue the construction order for a nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic, and the other is to establish a semiconductor industry cluster in the southwest region of South Korea. Over the past four years, the personnel establishment of the nuclear power plant affiliated state-run institutions has been continuously reduced, but starting from this year, the establishment scale has stopped declining and started to rise. The rebuilding of talent system to support the revival of "South Korean nuclear power" is accelerating. Data shows that the total number of personnel establishment in four nuclear power-related state-run institutions this year is 22,929, a slight increase from 22,879 last year. Industry analysts believe that this year's rebound in manpower scale is due to the government's adjustment of the temporary recruitment quota for nuclear power-related institutions such as the South Korea Water and Nuclear Power Company at the beginning of the year. The government also plans to expand the recruitment of formal establishment employees in the second half of the year.
