In the first half of the year, motorcycle production in Chongqing increased by nearly 50 percent.

The Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Statistics released data showing that in the first half of the year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Chongqing increased by 4.1% year on year. Looking at three major categories, the added value of mining industry increased by 7.7%, manufacturing industry by 5.2%, and electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry decreased by 7.0%. From the "33618" modern manufacturing industry cluster, the added value of the new generation of electronic information manufacturing industry cluster increased by 7.4%, the intelligent connected new energy vehicle cluster increased by 5.8%, and the intelligent equipment and intelligent manufacturing industry cluster increased by 10.5%. In the first half of the year, the city's motorcycle production reached 5.7277 million units, an increase of 49.7% year on year; the production of lithium-ion batteries, integrated circuit wafers, and liquid crystal display products increased by 63.2%, 20.4%, and 9.7% respectively.
