The market fluctuated widely all day, with the three major indexes showing mixed gains and losses. Oil and gas stocks collectively soared, with China National Offshore Oil, China National Petroleum, and Bohai Oil among those hitting the limit up. The coal sector rallied, with Huainan Mining, Datang Energy, and Yankuang Energy hitting the limit up. Power stocks repeatedly strengthened, with Huayin Electric Power, Huadian Liaoning Energy, and New Energy hitting the limit up. Consumer stocks such as liquor also strengthened, with Gujing Gongjiu hitting the limit up and Guizhou Maotai rising nearly 6%. Individual stocks fell more than they rose, with over 3,700 stocks in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets ending the day in the red. Today's trading volume reached nearly 2.72 trillion RMB.
