The world's first 500MW impact type hydraulic turbine ball valve has been completed and assembled on site and passed the test.
Recently, the world's first 500 megawatt impulse-type hydroelectric unit, the No. 1 unit of the Datang Zara Hydropower Station, successfully passed the water pressure test at the project site, with the sealing performance meeting the design requirements under various operating conditions. This marks the successful completion of the on-site assembly and testing of the first giant water intake ball valve at the power station. The Datang Zara Hydropower Station is equipped with a total of 2 units of 500 megawatt single-unit capacity impulse-type hydroelectric units, with Oriental Electric Power being responsible for the research and supply of one set of units. This project has been selected as the first major technical equipment project in the energy sector by the National Energy Administration. It is not only the only hydropower project in the country that can carry out the research and application demonstration of 500 megawatt high-head, large-capacity impulse units, but also currently the world's most complex impulse-type hydropower project under construction.
