Information leak of Japan's largest courier company's customers

Japanese logistics company Sagawa Express admitted on the 18th that due to a mistake during the repair of a system failure, the information of about 70,000 users who enjoyed its membership services was leaked. Sagawa Express' statement said that due to a setting error during the system failure repair operation, the names, email addresses, and parcel tracking numbers of users of its "Smart Club" membership service were leaked on the evening of the 15th. The "Smart Club" service sends users notifications of expected parcel delivery and allows members to customize the delivery date and time. According to Sagawa Express, the leaked information does not involve credit card and address details; no reports of illegal use of the data have been received yet.
