The US dollar index fell by about 0.2% this week.

On Friday's New York session, the ICE US Dollar Index was roughly flat, closing at 100.766 points, down 0.18% for the week, with a trading range of 101.327-100.353 points. The US CPI and PPI brought two significant downward moves. The Bloomberg Dollar Index rose 0.09%, closing at 1217.29 points, down 0.14% for the week, with a trading range of 1222.56-1212.47 points. The US dollar rose 0.04% against the Japanese yen, closing at 162.46 yen, up 0.48% for the week, with a trading range of 161.62-162.55 yen. The Euro rose 0.69% against the Japanese yen, closing at 185.84 yen; and the British pound rose 0.86% against the Japanese yen, closing at 218.611 yen.
