Report: Meta is in talks to lease computing power to Anthropic, with the deal possibly reaching a value of up to $10 billion over two years.

Three individuals familiar with the negotiations revealed that Meta is currently in talks to lease out its own AI data center computing power to Anthropic, with a potential scale of up to $10 billion in a two-year partnership agreement. Sources stated that the partnership proposal was first put forward by Anthropic in June, and Meta is currently evaluating it. The details of the transaction are still being adjusted, and according to the proposal, Anthropic will make monthly payments to Meta over the course of two years, with both companies having the right to terminate the agreement early. The scale of computing power procurement proposed by Anthropic to Meta this time is only one-third of the contract they signed with Elon Musk's SpaceX in May of this year. Insiders mentioned that the negotiations between Meta and Anthropic are still in the early stages and may not necessarily be finalized in the end.
