European natural gas futures surged more than 19% this week.

At the end of the European market on Friday, ICE UK natural gas futures rose by 5.58%, reaching 140.170 pence per therm. Since June 25th, it has been steadily rebounding, approaching the March 27th peak of 141.220 pence and the March 19th peak of 165.500 pence. It has increased by 19.61% this week. TTF benchmark Netherlands natural gas futures rose by 5.01%, reaching 57.935 euros per megawatt-hour. Since the end of trading on June 25th at 40.405 euros, it has also been on a rebound, approaching the March 19th peak of 72 euros. It has increased by 19.76% this week. ICE EU carbon emissions trading permits rose by 0.53%, reaching 79.09 euros per ton. It has increased by 0.50% this week.
