On July 17, the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium for key automobile production enterprises to deploy key tasks such as further standardizing the competition order of the automobile industry, improving the consistency and quality safety level of automobile products, and carrying out inspections and supervision of potential risks in automobile product safety. The meeting emphasized that automobile production enterprises must fully implement the decisions and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, resolutely resist irrational competition, strengthen product testing verification and safety assessment, and firmly maintain the bottom line of product production consistency and quality safety. Firstly, it is necessary to carry out in-depth inspections of potential safety risks in products, compare with relevant management requirements, systematically identify problems in product consistency, reliability, durability, and new technology testing verification of enterprises themselves and key component suppliers, earnestly carry out rectification work, comprehensively strengthen supply chain management, and enhance the guarantee capacity of production consistency. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the testing and validation of innovative product designs, fully assess the relevant safety risks, prudently promote the application of new technology in vehicles, ensure compliance with relevant national standards and requirements for safeguarding human health and personal and property safety, strictly fulfill the obligation to inform, and refrain from exaggeration and false advertising. Thirdly, it is necessary to strengthen the safety assessment of integrated driving assistance and autonomous driving functions, further enhance the security assurance capabilities of enterprises in functional safety, expected functional safety, network security, data security, software updates, etc., and strengthen security event monitoring and disposal. The meeting emphasized that automobile production enterprises must firmly establish the concept of "safety first, quality priority," effectively take on the responsibility of ensuring product quality safety and safeguarding public safety, citizen's life and property safety, and effectively prevent risks in product design verification, production manufacturing, after-sales service, etc., and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work closely with relevant departments to carry out further actions to improve the consistency and quality of road motor vehicle production, focus on rectifying outstanding issues, further strengthen the review and testing verification of innovative product designs of road motor vehicle production enterprises, and conduct supervision and inspection on the safety assurance capabilities and production consistency of road motor vehicle production enterprises, strengthen the management of road motor vehicle inspection and testing institutions, and strictly handle road motor vehicle production enterprises and inspection and testing institutions with problems according to laws and regulations, resolutely safeguard the bottom line of automobile product safety.
