The People's Bank of China: As of the end of June 2026, overseas institutions held 3.20 trillion yuan of bonds in the interbank market, accounting for approximately 1.8% of the total custody volume in the interbank bond market. In terms of types of bonds, overseas institutions held 2.01 trillion yuan of national bonds, accounting for 62.8%, policy financial bonds 0.75 trillion yuan, accounting for 23.4%, interbank certificates of deposit 0.28 trillion yuan, accounting for 8.8%, and other types of bonds 0.16 trillion yuan, accounting for 5.0%.
