"Artificial intelligence cooperation development action plan" released

On July 17, 2026, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, jointly released the "Action Plan for Cooperation and Development of Artificial Intelligence". The "Action Plan for Cooperation and Development of Artificial Intelligence" aims to implement the important directive spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping that "artificial intelligence should be an international public product benefiting all of humanity". It proposes eight actions in terms of data, computing power, ecology, empowerment, talent, rules, governance, and ethics, including providing high-quality data, universal access to intelligent computing power, sharing open-source ecosystems, empowering artificial intelligence deeply, nurturing digital talent together, jointly building rules and standards, collaborating on security governance, and promoting the benevolence of artificial intelligence, in response to the initiatives of the United Nations to strengthen international cooperation on artificial intelligence, bridge the digital divide, and promote sustainable development empowered by artificial intelligence. At the meeting, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, also jointly released the "China Wisdom, Benefitting the World" case collection. The "China Wisdom, Benefitting the World" case collection, released for the third consecutive year by the National Development and Reform Commission, includes 10 vivid stories of international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence in China. Compared to previous years, the collection covers a wider range of regions and countries, the cooperation scenarios for "artificial intelligence +" applications are more diverse, and the concept of "people-oriented, benevolent artificial intelligence" is more prominent. It showcases the valuable achievements of international cooperation in artificial intelligence and demonstrates China's wisdom and solutions contributing to the global development of artificial intelligence.
