According to statistics from the Guangdong Sub-Administration of the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export of goods in Guangdong in the first half of this year reached 5.49 trillion yuan, breaking the 5 trillion yuan mark for the first time in history, an increase of 20.8%. It accounted for 21.6% of the country's foreign trade, with a trade increment of 944.71 billion yuan, contributing 25.6% to the growth of the country's foreign trade. Guangdong's share, increment, and contribution to foreign trade all rank first in the country. Of this, exports were 3.22 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.6%; imports were 2.27 trillion yuan, an increase of 36.8%. In June, the monthly import and export scale exceeded one trillion yuan for the first time in history. Guangdong's exports of electromechanical products reached 2.27 trillion yuan, an increase of 16%, accounting for over 70% of the total provincial exports, a 2.7% increase from the same period last year. Among them, exports of integrated circuits were 266.7 billion yuan, an increase of 61.4%; exports of computers and their components were 246.12 billion yuan, an increase of 14.6%; high-end manufacturing showed strong international competitiveness, with exports of drones, high-end machine tools, and industrial robots increasing by 24.6%, 20.1%, and 16.8% respectively. Exports of green and low-carbon products were standout, with exports of lithium batteries and electric vehicles increasing by 42.7% and 35.3%, respectively.
