Due to the impact of Typhoon Bailu, since July 11th, the main stream and tributaries of the Mudan River in Mudanjiang have experienced floods above the warning level, with a maximum exceedance of 3.82 meters. Among them, four rivers including the Mudan River, Sha River, Wei River, and Zhuerduo River have exceeded the flood control level. According to forecasts, there will be no rain in the Mudan River basin in the next two days, but due to the convergence of upstream inflow and previous rainfall, the Mudan River Control Station may experience a significant flood. Some sections of the main and middle reaches of the Mudan River may remain above the warning or flood control levels. The Ministry of Water Resources is closely monitoring the flood situation in the Mudan River and has activated a Level III and Level IV emergency response in Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces respectively. Three task forces have been dispatched to assist in flood defense efforts.
