Shanxi issues an orange warning for flood-related meteorological risks.

The Water Resources Department of Shanxi Province and Shanxi Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a flash flood weather risk warning on the morning of July 16th: From 8:00 on July 16th to 8:00 on July 17th, there is a high possibility of flash floods in 16 counties in the southwestern part of Jinzhong City, the southeastern part of Linfen City, and the eastern and central parts of Yuncheng City in Shanxi Province; there is a relatively high possibility of flash floods in 12 counties in the northwestern part of Jinzhong City, the southwestern and eastern parts of Linfen City, the western part of Yuncheng City; and there is a possibility of flash floods in 31 counties in 5 cities in the western and southern parts of Jinzhong City, the southern part of Lvliang City, Changzhi City, and the eastern part of Jinzhong City. Other areas may also experience flash floods due to locally short-duration heavy rainfall, so local authorities are advised to pay close attention to real-time monitoring, flood prevention warnings, evacuation, and other precautionary measures.
