Xi'an Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow rainstorm warning signal at 11:35 on July 16: It is expected that from 16:00 to 23:00 today, the southern mountainous areas of Lianhu District, Baqiao District, Weiyang District, Yanliang District, Lintong District, the southeast of Chang'an District, Gaoling District, Huyi District, Zhouzhi County, Lantian County, and some areas of the West Xian New District will receive 50-70 mm of rainfall, locally exceeding 100 mm, while the accumulated rainfall in other districts and counties will be 15-40 mm. The process will mainly involve convective precipitation, accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds, and short-term heavy rainfall, with maximum hourly rainfall intensity of 20-40 mm, and isolated points may reach 50-80 mm, with gusts of 6-7 levels. The secondary meteorological risks in the area affected by heavy rainfall, such as urban and rural waterlogging, flash floods, floods in small and medium-sized rivers, and geological disasters, are relatively high, and precautions need to be strengthened. The Xi'an Water Affairs Bureau, the Xi'an Meteorological Bureau, and the Xi'an Emergency Management Bureau jointly issued an orange warning for mountain flood disaster meteorological risks at 10:00 on July 16: It is expected that from 11:00 on July 16, 2026 to 11:00 on July 17, 2026, there is a high possibility of mountain flood disasters in Hongqing Street, Baqiao District, Yangzhuang Street, Chang'an District, four towns in Lantian County such as Tangyu, Wangchuan, Gepai, and Baiyuan, Luankou, Lishan, Daiwang, Ma'e, and Muzhai in Lintong District, four towns in Chang'an District such as Luanzhen, Taiyi, Wangmang, and Yinzhen, and Jiaodai, Xiaozhai, Lanqiao, Jiujianfang, Yushan, Houzhen, Huaxu, and Xiehu in Lantian County, there is a relatively high possibility of mountain flood disasters in four towns in Zhouzhi County such as Houzhanzi, Banfangzi, Wangjiahe, and Jixian, the scenic management bureau in Huyi District, and Ziwu Street in Chang'an District.
