B "Bilibili recommends edgy videos to new accounts? Customer service response: Report if it violates rules, content push will be restricted under minor mode."
According to reports from the media, many internet users have reflected that the video platform Bilibili (B) is pushing inappropriate content to minors on some of its recommended pages. In scenarios where users have newly registered accounts, are not logged in, or are searching for specific keywords, the platform's recommended content and live stream covers may feature partial nudity or suggestive titles. As of now, there is no official response from Bilibili. However, their customer service stated: "We are committed to working with our users to create a healthy and civilized online community. We always firmly resist and strictly regulate all types of violations, including vulgarity and soft pornography. All videos on the platform are reviewed by relevant staff. If any content is found to be problematic, users can report it, and the relevant staff will investigate." Customer service also suggested that if users are not interested in content recommended on the homepage, they can click the three dots on the bottom right of the corresponding video and select the option "not interested." Additionally, users can watch videos they like, give them thumbs-up, coins, and save them. The recommendation system will continuously improve based on user preferences.
