Amid concerns about escalating conflicts in the Middle East and the overnight weakness in American chip stocks, the Japanese stock market may fall. U.S. President Trump is leaning towards expanding military actions in Iran after receiving a briefing from senior aides on new escalation options. Following a 2.1% drop in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index on Wednesday, Japanese chip stocks may decline. On the Singapore Exchange, Nikkei futures fell 935 points to 67,860 points. The Nikkei index closed up 1.5% on Wednesday at 68,751.51 points.
