Brain-computer interface welcomed policy and capital dual blessing, industry accelerates to open up commercialization landing channels.
On July 15, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission announced that the implanted brain-computer interface hand motor function compensation system had issued the first prescription after approval for listing on July 13 in Shanghai. The world's first implant surgery was completed at Fudan University Affiliated Huashan Hospital. The brain-computer interface product was approved for listing in March of this year. Boosted by this news, on July 15, A-share brain-computer interface concept stocks strengthened, with Hainan Haiyao hitting the limit up, and companies like Mindray Medical and Yinqushi Technology following suit. Industry experts believe that China's development level in the field of brain-computer interfaces ranks among the top in the world, with the potential to overtake in the future with a complete industrial chain and engineering talent advantage. However, there are still shortcomings in areas such as basic research on brain neurons and specialized chips. The industry is breaking through from multiple dimensions such as policy guidance, industrial clustering, and technological iteration to steadily build a complete commercial ecosystem.
