The Northeast region is making every effort to carry out flood prevention, emergency rescue, and drainage work.

Due to the recent continuous heavy rainfall, the water level of rivers in eastern Jilin Province has risen rapidly, and the flood control situation is severe. As of 6 o'clock today, a total of 50 rivers and 67 hydrological stations in Jilin Province have exceeded the warning and guarantee levels. The Huifa River and the Jilin section of the Mudan River have experienced significant rises in water levels, and the flood control pressure in the river channels continues to increase. Local armed police, militia, fire rescue forces have been stationed at key river sections to strengthen the embankments, formulate response plans in stages, timely cover and block seepage points, and carry out embankment reinforcement. Today, Jingshui Lake in Ning'an City, Heilongjiang Province, has overflowed beyond the flood limit water level. Since yesterday, Ning'an City has mobilized more than 3,000 people to accelerate the construction of a 2.4-kilometer, 1.3-meter-high flood prevention embankment along the river, and implemented traffic control measures in the riverside areas. In order to ensure the safety of the masses, more than 1,600 residents from 29 riverside villages have been relocated locally.
