WeChat announced the crackdown on illegal advertising links on the parking payment interface.
On July 15th, the WeChat Security Center released an announcement stating that recently, through user complaints, it was discovered that some parking lot QR code payment pages contained misleading advertising pop-ups. This type of violation mainly manifests as: using false discounts to induce clicks, concealing or missing close buttons. The above behavior violates the "Advertising Law of the People's Republic of China" which stipulates that advertisements must not deceive or mislead consumers, and pop-up ads must have a significant one-click close logo. Once such violations are discovered and verified, the platform will handle them in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, as well as the "Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement", "WeChat External Link Content Management Regulations", and other platform agreements and rules, including restricting access to the violating links.
