According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, on July 15th, the National Energy Administration released data on the total electricity consumption in June. In June, the total electricity consumption was 898.1 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. Looking at electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption in the primary industry was 13.6 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.0%. The electricity consumption in the secondary industry was 573.4 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; among which, the electricity consumption in the industrial sector was 568.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, and the electricity consumption in the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry was 112.1 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. The electricity consumption in the tertiary industry was 186 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%; among which, the electricity consumption in charging and swapping services and Internet data services were 14.8 billion and 9.1 billion kilowatt-hours, with growth rates of 57.1% and 41.4% respectively. The electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily living was 125.1 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%.
