Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display are jointly developing the next generation of glass intermediary layer, and it is expected that the prototype products will be produced as early as this year. They will also participate in bidding activities aimed at global technology clients. It is reported that Samsung Display has recently formed a research and development team for the glass intermediary layer and has initiated preliminary research. Their plan is to focus on patterned technology that forms redistribution layers on glass through photolithography processes.
