The central bank: RMB deposits increased by 17.76 trillion yuan in the first half of the year.

According to data from the central bank, as of the end of June, the balance of deposits in both domestic and foreign currencies was 35.433 trillion yuan, an 8.2% year-on-year increase. The balance of RMB deposits at the end of the month was 34.644 trillion yuan, an 8.2% year-on-year increase. RMB deposits increased by 1.776 trillion yuan in the first half of the year. Among them, household deposits increased by 758 billion yuan, non-financial enterprise deposits increased by 320 billion yuan, fiscal deposits increased by 971.5 billion yuan, and deposits of non-banking financial institutions increased by 465 billion yuan. At the end of June, the balance of foreign currency deposits was 1.16 trillion US dollars, a 13.7% year-on-year increase. Foreign currency deposits increased by 98 billion US dollars in the first half of the year.
