China and Thailand will cooperate to jointly build Thailand's first ion trap quantum computer.

On the 14th, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand announced that it will cooperate with China to jointly build the first ion trap quantum computer in Thailand, promoting further deepening of cooperation in the field of quantum technology between China and Thailand. Chulalongkorn University launched a quantum research program that day, announcing that the university will cooperate with the University of Science and Technology of China and Hefei Yaoheng Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly build an ion trap quantum computer system. Chulalongkorn University President Willee Briva stated that this cooperation marks an important step for Thailand in the field of quantum technology, which will help enhance the country's scientific and technological infrastructure capacity and provide support for the development of quantum technology education, research, and innovation.
