Heavy to torrential rain has fallen in many areas of Sichuan, resulting in the early evacuation of 14,303 people to safety.

According to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources, from 8:00 on July 14 to 8:00 on July 15, heavy to torrential rain fell in Chengdu, Mianyang and other areas of Sichuan, causing severe rainfall in some areas and triggering three geological disasters in Leshan City. A total of 14,303 people in Sichuan Province were evacuated in advance, including 5,517 in Mianyang, 4,027 in Liangshan, and 3,328 in Ya'an.
