The National Disaster Reduction Committee has initiated a national Level-4 disaster relief emergency response to guide Jilin in carrying out rescue work for typhoon, heavy rain, and flood disasters.

According to the "National Natural Disaster Rescue Emergency Plan", on July 15th, the National Disaster Reduction and Relief Commission launched a national level IV emergency response for the severe impact caused by Typhoon No. 9 "Bavi" and heavy rain in Jilin. A working group was dispatched to the disaster area to inspect the situation on the ground, and to provide guidance and assistance to the local authorities in ensuring the basic living needs of the affected population and other disaster relief work.
